The book was very informative for the short sale process from a seller’s listing brokers perspective. I am a buyer (hopefully when the bank approves my offer). I was also a CPA and financial executive with several companies. I thought the book would be helpful to my re broker so I gave it to him but he was too lazy to read it.
I would recommend it to brokers that want to represent sellers in short sales and like dealing on an informed basis. A good book from the buyer side is “The Pre-Foreclosure Real Estate Handbook” by Frankie Orlando.
I highly advise anyone on either the buy or sale side read a book or read articles on the web to be informed about the short sale process which is lengthy, frustrating and at times involves self defeating behavior by lenders.

Michael gives you the plain language version of the “hows and whys” and everything else you need to know to do and manage Short Sales! It is a “quick read” because he “cuts right to the chase” making it understandable and interesting. I highly recommend this as a “must read” for realtors who want to make money in this down market.
However, anyone who is in the unfortunate position of facing possible foreclosure needs to know what their options are and this book can tell them that, as well as, show them how to search for an agent who is a short sale expert to handle the sell their property. Someone who will benefit them more than contracting with the normal run-of-the-mill realtor who just wants the commission check quickly so they don’t want to be bothered taking the right steps to make a short sale happen. This book is an invaluable tool for those homeowners in particular.

Mike is able to view the transaction from a unique vantage point. Mike can look at the transaction from the eyes of an investor and a lender. He has been able to tap into a solid base of professionals that collectively have decades of experience. Mike has at his disposal a seasoned team of attorneys, appraisers, closing agents, etc. The book is very direct and to the point. I am certain that Mike can answer any question that is thrown his way. If you need a little help, have a few questions just give him a ring, day or night (literally). This man would answer the phone to help you while lying in his own hospital bed. Great job Mike !!

As an attorney and real estate investor, I felt that this book was very poorly written, with numerous typos. I probably should have returned it after I read it. Unfortunately, as someone who is experienced with real estate matters, I gained very little from this book. Maybe a novice would find it more informative.
